Flora & Fauna Conservation |
The
Borneo Conservation Programme is aimed to promote conservation
of the natural heritage of Karambunai and wise use of its
natural resources. |

Water Rafting at Kiulu |
Shoot
through the nerve tingling excitement which crecendoses rapid
by rapid, then enjoy a sumpuous barbeque lunch by the river. |

| Whale
Shark Watching |
Whale
shark only appears during the month of January to March. Where
there is a shrimp season. It consume shrimp & small fish.
During this season, you can see them come very near to shore. |
| Olive
Ridley Turtles |
As
for turtles (the Olive Ridley type), only appears between December
to March. We will organise a look out at these times and collect
the eggs and hatchlings to the hatchery/nursery. |
| Day
Excursions |
There
are many excursions available in Sabah organised by Wild Life
Expeditions. Half day excursions like a visit to the Monsopiad
village where the you can learn the history and rich tradition
of the indigenous people of Sabah. The visit to the Orchild farm
is DeVilla and a spectacular sight seeing trip by flight in a
Air hanger. Full day trips can include a trip to the National
Park (foot hills of Mount Kinabalu, the tallest mountain in South
East Asia). For a 2 days and one night excursions, a climb up
to the top of Mount Kinabalu can also be arranged. Other full
day excursions can include the visit to the Poring Hot Springs
near the National Park where the sulphur springs and canopy tree
top walks are or to the Tambunan Rafflesia Centre to see the biggest
flower in the world. |

| Trips |
Other
trips worth mentioning but require a couple of days would be the
Sadakan/gomantong cave/Sukau to watch the big funny nose proboscis
monkey, bats, and other wild life. Turtle Island/Sandakan in Selingan
or Libaran. Historical Labuan tour or even a Brunei City tour
can be arranged. |
| Snorkelling/Diving/Island
Hoping |
Snorkelling,
diving and island hopping trips is as follows : For RM310 a certified
diver get the following: transfer to and return to KK Jetty park,
entrance fee and permit to park, 2 boat dives, lunch and dive
gear. Discover scuba course are available for RM400 (2 dives,
including instructor and dive equipment but excluding lunch).
Scuba diver course is available for RM800 (3 days, 3-4 dives),
Open Water Diver course are also available for RM1,334.00 (3-4
days) which includes 4-5 dives (including 2 boat dives), dive
gear and certificate in completion of the course but excluding
lunch. Lunch is available on Manukan Island for RM10 onwards.
Other more advance course are also available. Snorkelling trips
are RM124 per person (including boat trip to Tuanku Abdul Rahman
Park, snorkelling equipment, transfer for a minumum of 2 persons)
Island Hopping tours are at RM114 per person (excluding lunch,
minimum 2 person) |
| Hotel
Owns Excursions |
The
hotel also organised our own excursions like bicycle tour, horse
back riding, nature walk and we organise boats trips like Beach
Escape to a more secluded beach only reachable by boat for RM80
per person including pack lunch and snorkel set, for a minimum
2 person. Children under 6 years are free of charge. Crab catching
adventure at RM95 per person, Sunset and Fire fly cruise at RM80
per person and even Island hopping tour from the Lagoon Park to
Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (5 islands) are also available for a minimum
of 4 person at RM140. |

tours can be arranged beforehand or when you check into Nexus.
